Golfview Village Welcomes 400th Renter with a Surprise!

On April 28, 2000, Golfview Village in Rantoul welcomed its 400th renters.  Molly and Darrin Nierenhausen were surprised with two months of free rent, a dinner for two at the Caddyshack restaurant, one round of golf at Willow Pond Golf Course and a $50.00 IGA gift certificate for renting Golfview Village's 400th townhome.

"When Molly first came out to look at our models, she was very excited about moving back to Rantoul and living at Golfview Village.  The same day Molly viewed our models, she brought back a friend to see our community," says Angela Hertel, Leasing Manager at Golfview Village.  "Darrin has lived in this area since he was 4 years old and Molly finished high school here in Rantoul."

"I originally lived in the townhomes when they were housing for Chanute Air Force Base.  When I walked into the model at Golfview Village, I was amazed at the amount of work that had been done to renovate the units," says Molly Nierenhausen.  "Location is the biggest plus for us.  We both work in Paxton and the location of Golfview Village is very convenient for us."

In the fifth year since the transfer of title from the Air Force, the demand for townhomes at Golfview Village has continued to increase.  A variety of factors such as attractive square footage, maintenance, rental rates, golf course location, and others, have continued to drive demand.

The developers, who include Kenneth and Lawrence Roessler of Rantoul and Kyle Robeson of Champaign, plan to continue renovation in the community with the same high standards that 400+ families enjoy today.  The community hopes to welcome its 500th renter in the near future.

In addition to celebrating its 400th renter, Golfview Village has sold 140 duplex homes and 25 condominiums in the golf course community.  Demand for the units remains high as only 10 duplexes and 9 condominiums remain to be sold.  Overall, 586 townhomes, duplexes and condominiums are occupied at Golfview Village.
